Celestial Navigation
Description
Able to apply celestial navigation theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in offshore waters. On-water celestial navigation skills elements are demonstrated in ASA 108 — Offshore Passagemaking.
Learning Format
16 hours over two weekend days (8:30-16:30 each day).

$555.00 per person.
Prerequisite:
Although no prior experience is necessary for this course, having a fundamental knowledge of USCG Aids to Navigation (ATON), along with some basic sailing experience is helpful.
This course can be taken out of the numerical sequence of ASA courses and is helpful prior to or after taking the ASA103.
Location
Wilmette or Waukegan Harbor.
