Electronic Navigation Fundamentals

Description

This onboard, on-water course will teach students basic coastal navigation techniques using electronic navigation systems. From plotting basic waypoints to understanding how to maximize electronic systems while underway. You’ll learn how electronic systems aboard the boat interface and are used to supplement safe navigation. Basic VHF radio communicationprotocols and emergency communication and system integration are covered as well.

Learning Format

3 hour course taught on weekends (8:30-11:30) and weeknights (18:00-21:00)

$170 per person.

Prerequisites

Sailing Fundamentals or equivalent sailing experience recommended.
