Sailing Fundamentals

Description

This 8-hour course is taught over a weekend or weeknights during the summer. This course is designed to teach you fundamental sailing skills along with rules of the road and federal requirements for boating on the Great Lakes. From parts of the boat, sailing skills and crew over-board skills to critical rules of the road and navigation, safely departing, and returning to the dock, this comprehensive sailing course will give you the necessary foundation on which to build additional sailing skills and experience.

Learning Format

  • 8 hour course taught over two weekend days — 4 hours each day (8:30-12:30 or 13:00-17:00)

  • 8 hour course taught over three weekday nights sessions — 2.5 hours each day (18:00 – 20:30).

  • Format can be adjusted to Kids & Teens and Families. Contact us for special arrangements.

Learning Investment

$445 per person.

Optional ASA 101 Certification: $175

  • Requires additional 4 hours of on-water and test administration.
