The New Season is Upon Us! BE-Resourceful & Wise

As we turn to the water, BE-Nautical has several resources to help help refresh your skills.

On-Water Refresher Courses—

Our sailing and docking refresher courses are designed to “get you in shape” for sail.  We refresh critical sailing and docking skills and your sea legs.

ReSail Option—

For those that have already achieved an ASA or Core Fundamental skill level, you can take advantage of our Re-Sail option. This allows you to retake a class you’ve already qualified for at half the price of the course (pending space available).  Add your name and desired course to the Standby List. I’ll reach out a week or so ahead of the class when there is space available for registration.

USCG References

From navigation to USCG regulations for boaters, these are wonderful references to keep in arms reach.

Refresh Digitally

A PDF of ASA standards is linked to every ASA course. Reviewing them is a great way to refresh your experiences and learning.

Video References

From parts of the boat to basic sailing maneuvers, these YouTube video references are a great way to refresh the language of sail.

Expand Your Skills

From ASA Certifications to Core Fundamentals or Heavy Weather Sailing to Night Sailing Techniques, we’ll help prepare you for your next adventure on the water.  Check out our upcoming courses.

Protecting Our Precious Resources

Consider going into the woods…. Plan a course on one of our wooden boats.  New to the fleet, these boats are constructed from renewable resources.

New Wooden Fleet Members —

Mahogany (1948, S&S designed Fisher Pilot, build in Detroit) is already in the water. Check out the video of her launch.

Craft

Our youngest member of the fleet White Oak Cedar (2023, Haven 12-1/2) will be launched soon in Wilmette.

Both of these working boats will be used throughout the season, expanding horizons and appreciation for a boat made from renewable resources, human built, that is still a relevant in todays modern age of sail.

Stay tuned for our open house welcoming our new fleet members!

Crew Opportunities

Learn more about preseason commissioning as we approach the new season and gently slip our craft into the fresh water they've missed all winter. Sign up on our crew form, and we'll alert you to the next opportunity.

If there is any way we can help with your refreshers or resourcefulness, please do not hesitate to contact me.
