Racing Fundamentals
Description
We’ll take you out aboard a vessel in our fleet and teach racing fundamentals: from the critical starting sequence to racing strategies underway. You’ll learn how to set up a boat prior to the race, crew position along with upwind and downwind techniques, including setting and dousing a cruising spinnaker underway. We will take you on the racecourse where we’ll practice our already learned focused sailing skills on a larger boat. After completion of this course, students will have the opportunity to participate in future racing weekends as crew.
