Boat Systems Fundamentals

Description

This course walks you through basic sailboat systems, focusing on engine, fuel, water, cooking, and waste systems. Taught at the beginning and end of the season, learn techniques to properly commission and de-commission your sailboat, including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes and fuel system bleeding, water and waste system decommissioning, and freeze protection techniques. You’ll gain critical on-hand experience in critical system skills from start of the season to its close.

Learning Format

  • 3 hour course taught weeknights (18:00-21:00) and weekends (8:30-11:30).

Learning Investment

$170 per person.

Optional ASA Certification: $175

  • Includes additional 4 hours of on-water and test administration.
